PEACE RIVER HYDRO PROJECT

The construction of the Site C Clean Energy Project by Peace River Hydro Partners in BC, Canada is currently in full speed. Peace River Hydro Partners (PRHP) is a partnership between ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc., Petrowest Corporation, and Samsung C&T Canada Ltd. The project is valued at 1.75 billion CAD and will be completed in 2024. Once built, Site C will be a source of clean, reliable and affordable electricity and produce about 5,100 gigawatt hours (GWH) (enough energy to power the equivalent of about 450,000 homes per year in British Columbia).

To ensure that site engineers have the know-how and shotcrete sprayers meet the designated standards, PRHP is working with Edvirt to issue the Nozzleman Training Certificate to employees. This certificate is based on the theory and training offered in the ESCOT™ Certificate as well as the EFNARC certification.

With this certification in place, the operators are able to prepare their spraying techniques to the slopes and tunnel environments faced during production and quickly adapt to the use of the Putzmeister SPM 500.
